It was 1986 at camp Sunshine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a notoriously known fat camp where Rachel Wallowitz, Jessica Maginelli, and Michelle Smith met and changed the candy business forever. The three girls all shared a cabin, It was their that they shared their love of chocolate and hopes of owning a candy business. After a lot of experimenting with different ingredients in the camp kitchen they created their first bestselling candy; Fat Pants. They attempted to sell their decadent candies at fat camp, but seeing as how they were at fat camp, they were quickly shot down.
Packing on the pounds
They didn't give up then though. After a few years and a few college courses on business, they were back in the candy business advertising and having bake sales. Soon they had their own “FATory” and were making thousands of fat pants an hour. The girls childhood dreams had come true, they were owners and creators of a candy franchise. After a while though their sales started going down, and they knew it was time for a new candy, thus was born the Chubby Hubby. Chubby Hubby was even more popular than fat pants, and they got so many orders they actually started refusing some.
